Send it back. That coin is cleaned/polished with AU details and as such is worth 1/2 of the sale price.
Hang around CCF and learn about before buying more coins.

It looks like a VAM-12 and not worth keeping a details example. Return it.

Anyone notice the correlation between how much writing is on the 2x2 and the condition of the coin with ebay sellers? |

The Seller said it was a "rare date" and "high grade" but failed to mention it was harshly cleaned.
Send it back and get your money refunded.
It is not worth stabbing.

There were hints you might have to return the coin for being cleaned in this seller's feedback.... - Selling cleaned coins as mint state
- Coin was not as described
- Coins are cleaned but seller may not be aware of this
- Item sent was incorrectly cleaned, not the grade stated.
- Please before you buy from this buyer look at the coins close. Cleaned
- Not accurate description on coins. Please look closely before bidding.
- Bought several coins, all marked rare, high grade, that weren't. Won't buy again
- Coins came back "details-cleaned" from PCGS
- Sent it away and it had been polished per NGC
- Coin was clearly cleaned
- I returned the coin, it was too highly polished for my collection.
- Cleaned NOT MS, cleaned coins deserves a negative

Thank you nss-52 for posting an image. (shudders) No way...send her back. I would not send anything in to be certified if I knew that it would come back as a "details" coin.

@Coinhappy03, please post pictures of what the coin looks like in hand versus the scanned images that @nss-52 posted from the auction so everyone can learn how to read these auction images by seller rojo-86 as well as a few other ebay sellers that use the same imaging tactics. Just to add, rojo-86 has been blocked from from ebay saved searches for several years. |
