The reverse of the coin looks smooth yet under magnification, you can see scratches. Am I correct in identifying it as Post Strike/Minting Damage, therefore worth a nickel?

If PMD, it still is 35% silver so has to have some value depending on weight. A normal War Nickel has 95¢ of silver in it at today's market rate.

Worth it's weight in silver. A lot of nickels wish they could say the same.
