I found this 1940 nickle when I turned over to see if it had an s mark on the back I found what seems to be a 1929 Indian head on the back side

Indeed. It's certainly not the usual pairing we see, and I think it's quite special in its own right.

I have a two headed buffalo somewhere, or was it two tailed? I try to keep it so I don't get it mixed in with the rest of the Buffalo nickels.

If you did, it would not be impossible to find. Time consuming, maybe. But not impossible.

Well, if it isn't a genuine error, which it probably is not, I would still be glad to find one of those! Cool find error on not!

Yes when you look at edge closely you can see a line around outside wonder how these were made?

That's a fun find.

Usually you can see a little seam around one side or the other right up against the rim. I can't see it on your coin because the pics are so tiny.

It's probably worth a few dollars if you can find a buyer.

As others are saying ... this coin was created .. post mint striking.

It is a cool find ...

For me ... using a 1938 D Indian head with a 1938 D Jefferson would
have made it even more interesting.
