I hadn't heard of brass planchets in that time frame. Just out of curiosity now that I am thinking about it - how much you figure a brass cent would weigh? Crazyb0 Rest in Peace 10197 Posts	Posted 11/14/2017 9:47 pm As a note on the Brass, all that is is a bit more zinc/tin in the copper alloy mix. Bronze is the normal plating, a .02% change will alter the color. They are NOT completely brass. Report this Post to the Staff
