I found a 1963 quarter in a roll while doing laundry. Its got nice edges all the grooves are sharp. I checked out youtube and found out something about a type c reverse where the branches dont touch the eagles tail feathers, and thats what this one is. Is this a rare coin

Here is a pic of the reverse side. Theres space between the branches and the tail and theres space between the first couple of arrows and the branch

Hopefully you get the coin pictured and it is not a proof quarter. Note the coin images show an alteration on the image outside of the rims. Hopefully you get what you want and not a different coin that is not a reverse 'B'. The old bait and switch.

I cant get the pic to load. Why is it so difficult to load an image to a reply?

Unless I'm doing it the hard way, there are to many stinkin steps! Not very user friendly from where I sit. Unless like I said, I'm doing it the hard way. It's silver. You can also find silver coins in the coin star reject slot or anything that takes coins..

Does the fact that the leaves on the branch below the eagle dont touch the eagles tail feathers make this coin anything special? All the other 1963 quarters I have seen the leaves touch the tail of the eagle. Ive heard of a type c reverse where they dont touch but from what I can tell that was on later years not on the 1963

The type 'C' reverse is on the 1964-D quarters. It is the reverse for the 1965 quarters. So it can't be a type 'C' on a 1963 Proof quarter. (Just 1964 Denver mint quarters have the type 'C')

Well it definitely says 1963 on the front and it sure looks like a type c on the back, this is why I ask if this coin might be something special.
