I Found A 1963 Quarter In A Roll While Doing Laundry

Sorry I'm new to coin collecting, I saw something on YouTube that made it sound like the feathers on the c type didn't touch the leaves. My coin. The 1963 looks like the pic of the 1964 type a reverse. Would this be unusual? The only reason I ask is all the other 1963 coins I have seen the feathers touch the leaves

Ok sorry I was going off of what I saw on YouTube. My 1963 looks like the bottom pic posted by Coop (thank you) so its a type a reverse? Not uncommon? So I cant quit my job and move to Fiji?

@whiskyrox, first welcome to CCF and sorry that you have been having trouble posting pics of your find. Hopefully you can figure it out and show off your gem.

Based on the date, your new coin is silver and definitely has a value above face value so is worth keeping. In terms of funding your retirement, you might find that this doesn't take you all that far--better to keep your day job for now.

Type 'A' is the common reverse for this year. The type'B' is the re-used proof reverses with no mint marks because they are from Philadelphia.

Well it is definitely a type a reverse. Thank you so much for all your help. This is a very cool hobby,I'm going to keep my eyes peeled for more coins,I have since found a Buffalo nickle,its not in good shape,but it was neat to find something that old.
