Hi all in new and learning I found a clean 72 penny and when I flip it the reverse side is not even with front side of coin is this common and is it worth checking further into

@fuzzy, I see what you are trying to show, but shouldn't you flip the rev pic along the Y axis?

The only way we can really help you is if you can load a good photo of the front (obverse) and the back (reverse).

Then we can answer your questions more directly.

Both are correct, I just tend to think of mine of taking a picture, not flipping.

Holing the coin as you face the image in the mirror, the reverse should look like the example he posted. The devices would be mirored an be up side down in the reflection. Fuzzy has it correct. (He is showing the reflection, not the position of the dies during striking.
