I found this penny in my change as a kid and was wondering what kind of value it has, it still has the full date and upper half of the mint mark (D?) despite it being off center so much.

That's a nice error you have there. Can you show the reverse?

I would value it between $10 & $15. Having a discernible date and mintmark (D) is a plus for value.

Be careful, though. It has exposed the zinc core and must be stored properly so it doesn't corrode. If you've had it for a good while, it seems your storage method is working.

to CCF. Cool find. I would put that in a 2x2 holder and label it properly, along with the story behind it.

Isn't it weird how that was even circulated? That is just about as good as an off-center can get. Barely kept the date!

Heres the reverse. I have it in a plastic case with foam until I get something else to put in it.
