I found this Ottoman coin at home and after some research online I think it should be a silver Yirmilik from the reign of Mahmoud I (1730-1754) but would like to hear the opinion of people who actually know something about coins. Thanks!

It is possible that I took the picture upside down as I can't read Arabic script. To me, it looks completely the same as this silver yirmilik but I could not measure the weight and the diameter yet. Will let you know when I do.

The coin in question and the example below do look quite similar, although there is one character that is different. Looking at the second set of pictures, it is on the second last row of the second picture (the first, highest character). That one character does not help narrow down what denomination the coin in question is, however.

So yea... the last digit of the date of the first coin is a three, meaning, like the example below it, it would be dated 1143 (around 1731 in the Gregorian calendar). With the different denominations, the diameters vary somewhat. The kurus is around 38 millimetres, the 1/2 kurus (yirmilik) is around 30 millimetres, and the 10 para (onluk) is around 25 millimetres. And if the diameter is something not around any of those numbers, it is probably of some other denomination.
