Obv XF40, lots of contact and rub, rev is stronger @ XF45 sharpness. My net would be XF40.

xf details cleaned and retoned. surfaces look slick and reflective.

I agree with numismatic student on the cleaned/polished appearance. Most of the patina was left behind though so it still looks okay to me. My biggest concern would be rim damage at 6:00 reverse.
I agree it makes XF Details and is pretty nice as problem coins go.

I like it and am not ready to call it a details coin. To call the barely noticeable "mark" on the rim "damage" is way off. EF-40 for me.

Yeah I agree that it's not large enough to detail it.
Here's what I can't figure out. The fields on the reverse are prooflike wilh blue and gun metal grey toning. But the letters and devices are crusty with rustic red toning. The obverse fields has evidence of reflectivity but not to the extent of the reverse. My in hand assessment initially was au-50. The shop owner had it pegged at 53 but I was able to convince him otherwise after showing him graded examples from my collection. I'm stumped on this one.
It might be a circulated proof.
