I was pretty sure I finally found a doubled die, now I'm not so sure. Doesn't look like MD to me at all, but of three coins I found, two have the same die chip (on "t" in cent), and two have the same doubling. Now I'm thinking that if They were true doubled dies, both coins would have the die chip. What do the experts think?

I'm suddenly a little bit more sure of my find again. I realized that the one with the die chip, but not the doubling is a Greaser.
Rest in Peace

Die Deterioration spreading outwards, dots aren't affected.

On Wheat cent reverses, look at the dots first. See if they are egg shaped:

That is always my first look on these.
Then look at the first letters of the EPU:

The E, P, L and 'U's, help you spot a DDR easier.
Then note the wheat stems:

The wheat lines:

Also the smaller letters on USA:

Know what areas can be affected and how, helps a lot. So study pages of they year/mint mark for DDO, DDR and RPMs, then you will know what to look for. What it should look like.

I just pulled out my loupe and double checked them again. I think you're right crazy, I only found one dot that might have doubling, but it doesn't quite look right.

The lines above the devices is die wear. (usually toward the closest rim) The devices that are wider, are struck through an area on the die that was grease filled. But I hate to say this, everything look pretty much normal. But I post some images for food for thought. The first dot, looks a bit like damage from what I can see. Hang in there, there is always the next coin. that maybe the one...
