This coin has great eye appeal until I took the pictures. The front looks as good as the back. What do you think was the front cleaned and the back not?
I don't see obvious evidence of abrasive cleaning although the coin may have been "dipped" to brighten it up. It doesn't have any original toning although that is not necessarily a bad thing.
I do see some grey discoloration on the hair above Liberty's forehead, on her cheek, and on the cap. This looks like wear and so I would call this an AU coin.
Are all those scratches on the coin? If so, then I expect it would be considered damaged and ineligible for grading by PCGS or NGC. It looks like there is an interesting rim Cud at about 9:30 on the reverse. I don't remember seeing any Cuds on Barber dimes before; it's kinda cool!
