Hey guys. I was going through my coin bucket and I found this quarter (one the left) is there a reason it is that odd color?

I put it next to another quarter for comparison.

Thanks!

Hard to tell for sure, but it looks to me like it might be one of those over-priced late night TV quarters that was gold plated and then marked up for sale to gullible investors. Or it could have been immersed in something that tinted the color. Either way, I'm thinking it is only worth 25 cents.

When the Statehood Quarters came out, there were many different versions where a third party plated them in gold or platinum. Your quarter is technically damaged, but is still worth 25 cents.

Hey, those are fun, PMD or not. I keep every one I come across.

You should upgrade those to an album, Crazyb0!

I agree. They are not worth more than face value, but they are still fun to find.
