It's hard to say what part of the "temperature equipment" was faulty.it could be something as simple as the master temperature gauge, whatever it was I think it probably produced a consistent improper temperature to affect several dies the same. That could span within a batch, or from batch to batch until caught and corrected. Whether or not the OP's coins are from the same die is of no consequence.

I found a couple of those. I think I posted one and coop said there's two or three dies similar to that one. The same year

Do you think these are from the same die at different stages or three different dies?

See coops hierarchy explaining die creation below.

1973-D-LMC-I-Think-This-Is-A-Die-Clash-On-The-Reverse,-Is-It-?-Help-Please.

Error-ref references up to 8 working dies showing similar, but slightly different stages of the anomaly. Location is a key factor here.

As coop mentions in the other post "To me, the idea of a working hub that was breaking down makes more sense to me"

Rather than having multiple or 8 working dies having the same issue in the same location seems less likely, than one working hub was effected and transferred the issue to multiple working dies. Thanks, Doug.

Wilburton and Halo1st, thanks for your opinions and the die creation pic.

My thoughts on the dies were the 1st pic and the 3rd pic were the possibly the same die with the 3rd pic being EDS and the 1st pic being LDS. The 2nd pic being a different die all together.
