I recently received this dime in a handful of change. I took it to various coin shops in my area but no one could tell me about the errors as all said they have never seen one like it. Any information about this would be greatly appreciated.

to CCF. It would be helpful if you post a photo of the obverse.

we need a picture of the obverse, but looks like something pressed on the obverse pushing that round area out a little on the reverse. Too uniform for a bullet, maybe from a steel punch.

edit - is the top of the head recessed in a little?

That is a strange animal. It's not an error although I'm uncertain what would cause that.

Not sure about the edge but the reverse looks like a flattened bubble from heating.

I figured it out its a stash pocket take a flat head screw driver and put it in that slit in the rim and turn it a little bit it should pop apart

The weight suggests there is something possibly in it too good luck lol no I really don't know but that's all that makes sense to me is that someone split it in two and made it a stash coin for who knows what but don't fit alot that's why they put that little indent but it still don't fit much so I don't know just try it and see what happens
