About how much would you say this is worth? I saw this online and was thinking of picking up. I can buy it for $60. Is that a good deal? I am mostly into Morgan dollars and not really into currency but I like it because it is from Philadelphia and I went to college in philly. Also, I don't have any brown seal star notes.

I can make a couple of general comments. It's worn with creases and dirt/discoloration, but overall still in pretty good shape. It has a relatively low SN, and is a star. Centering is decent but slightly off. A small pink stain in the upper right-hand corner (front). No visible tears or pinholes. Overall a nice note, maybe F or VG at the worst.

From my research $60 is a steal but don't listen to me. Wait for the experts to chime in.

60$ is a steal for that note! ANY 1929 FRBN brown seal star is tough!

Great find at that price, original print run just 24K. Probably Fine, perhaps shot at VF-20, great centering. Congrats!

For comparison, here is another FRBN star in only slightly better condition, with an original print run of 12K.
A different animal, to be sure, but I was happy to buy it at close to $500.

Awesome deal for $60, congratulations.

Always remember, ANY solid brown STAR is worth a minimum of double to triple face in fine condition or better regardless of type or district.

As a further example, here is another brown star, again with a print run of just 12K, which I have shown before. I paid around $650 for this one and consider it one of the best buys I made all year.
