Quote: I recently was given, by a dealer friend, a load of fake Morgans and ASEs. So I ordered a "COPY" counterstamp so I can proceed with something I have always wanted to do: make a silver dollar tabletop like the silver dollar bars that can be found out West. Outstanding! Quote: I have seen the one at Wall Drug a couple of times and liked it. Been there! Check out the socks I just happened to be wearing today.

That is a hilarious coincidence. First time I was out there was when I was about 12. Last time was about 42, and one visit in between somewhere!

The day before we had to hunker down in Butte, MT because of a snow storm. This was June 1980! I apologize for taking your topic sideways here, chafemasterj!

Cool idea Earle42 for the tabletop. Great move on the COPY counter stamp. Hopefully that will prevent someone from tearing the table apart in the future thinking they have a small fortune. Look forward to seeing pictures of your progress with the project. Curious what the other stamp is.

I'm surprised you did not post a St. Patrice Day counter stamp.

Oops. My bad. A day late. I have no idea why I can't find any of my two or three different four leaf clovers I have in My Previous Uploads. Here are a couple of three leaf clovers I readily found: Looks like the last two were done with the same stamp. Just one slightly better than the other.

Curious what the other stamp is. The tabletop, when done, will be posted for sure. The punches will not be here until next month. I figured, as you said, someone in the future would go to a lot of trouble and get nothing out of it if I did not punch them as copies. The 35.00 for the punch made it a no-brainer for me. As to the other punch...no hints...sorry. But since the counter stamp is too large for a cent, would I have your permission as OP of this thread to post one of the coins here when I get the punch in?

1903 IHC Masonic counter stamp. . . Rare to find an Indian Head cent with anything other than words counter stamped on them. Makes me question if this was stamped later in the coin's life. If only they could talk. . .
