Agree, IHCs with Masonic stamps must be pretty unusual.

A card with interesting facts about New York. The coin is counter stamped with an outline of New York state. . .

So do you know if there was a 50 state set of state cards/cents or do you think this was simply a NY state souvenir?

I have New Hampshire, Pennsylvania, Maryland, Alabama and now New York.

Don't know if there were cards made for every state. I think that these were made to order. If whoever would order them didn't order any, then they wouldn't exist. I have seen a set of fifty of the cards only. With no coin attached. But the person was asking an outlandish amount of money for them so I gave them a hard pass.

Well I did something terrible today. I made a fake fake coin. I counterstamped a real Zincoln as a copy.

I got my punches in and had to try one on a cent to see what kind of force it takes to make an impression...very little I found out!

Those regular to this thread know I had one more punch made.

Well, I got it, but unfortunately it is very hard to read. I mailed the maker a picture I sent before for him to make the punch with and a picture of the punch side by side.

He admitted they made a mistake, and he said they are making a new one sending it out (nice customer service). So now I wait another month for the reveal. But...at least there was no hassle with paying for the new punch!

Nice Earle42. . .Yes, I also discovered that it takes very little force to make an impression. If you hit it to hard it distorts the image. Too bad about the other stamp. at least they aren't giving you a hassle about remaking it.

We can probably agree that Zincolns are "copies" of real BRONZE cents.
