The following information I found was lucky.
I discovered this 2 by 2 on
ebay not realizing the cool information that was going to lead me down a small rabbit hole.

The coin in the 2 by 2 is hard to see. Here is another one I have in my collection:

Harold Flartey was a numismatist from Dover, New Jersey. He wrote a weekly (possibly monthly) article "Coins and You" in The Daily Record for 14 years. I searched for a copy or two of an article but came up with nothing. My next step is going to go directly to The Daily Record's site and see if they had digitized some micro fish or something. Here are two celebrations of his life I did happen to find.
Harold Flartey of Mine Hill Township died Sunday, Aug. 4, 2002, at St. Clare's Hospital/Denville, following a long illness. He was 88.
Born in Dover, he was a lifetime resident of the area, living in Mine Hill for the past 57 years.
A printer by trade, Mr. Flartey had worked for several area newspapers and retired in 1977 after 29 years with the Daily Record.
In addition to his work as a printer in the composing room of the Daily Record, he wrote the column "Music Makers" from 1948 to 1962 and "Coins and You" from 1973 to 1987.
He was awarded the Maurice M. Gould Memorial Award by the Numismatic Literary Guild seven times for his column on coins.
He was a Mine Hill exempt fireman, an Honorary Life Member of the Garden State Numismatic Association, New Jersey Numismatic Society, and Roxbury Coin Club and a Life Member of the Hackettstown Coin Club.
Survivors include his wife of 67 years, Sylvia Lubetkin; two sons, Roger of Denville and Raymond of Hopatcong; five grandchildren, Brian, Charles, Michael and Andrew Flartey and Tara DiGiacomo; and two great-grandchildren, Cody Flartey and Darren DiGiacomo.
Visitation will be from 10 to 10:30 a.m. today, Thursday, Aug. 8, at Tuttle Funeral Home, 272 Route 10, Randolph, followed by a memorial funeral service.
Donations may be made to the American Heart Association, 2550 Route 1, North Brunswick, N.J. 08902-4301.

As long as we live, they too will live;
For they are now a part of us:
As we remember them!
At the rising sun and at its going down we remember them.
At the blowing of the wind and in the chill of winter we remember them.
At the opening of the buds and in the rebirth of spring we remember them.
At the blueness of the skies and in the warmth of summer we remember them.
At the rustling of the leaves and in the beauty of the autumn we remember them.
At the beginning of the year and when it ends we remember them.
As long as we live, they too will live,
for they are now a part of us. As we remember them.
When we are weary and in need of strength we remember them.
When we are lost and sick at heart we remember them.
When we have decisions that are difficult to make we remember them.
When we have joy we crave to share we remember them.
When we have achievements that are based on theirs we remember them.
For as long as we live, they too will live,
For they are now a part of us, as we remember them.

EDIT: Just went to look at The Daily Record archive and they want a $7.95 monthly subscription to search their archives. I'm interested in finding out more about Mr. Flaherty bit not 'that' interested.
