And what's the deal with all the striations on this penny? Does that also impact grading level?

The black spot is a carbon spot. A real negative to a coin buyer.

I'm not seeing anything that would indicate a problem with the dies or the strike.

OP might be referring to the small semi-circular cut in Lincoln's hair directly across from the carbon spot. Looks like PMD to me.
