I'm glad I caught this guy before he really started peeling.
When I first saw it, I thought it was scotch tape.

Very nice and awesome pickup! You don't see Laminations this big in size that often. Did you pull this out of a BU roll?

No, I actually had it in a plastic tub for years with other random AU/BU Lincoln Cents. I only recently started pulling them out and looking at them more closely for error, varieties and other anomalies.

Well, then that's a pretty awesome find for having them mixed with other cents as well! Pretty big Lamination!

Rest in Peace

Not sure thast's a lamination error as we know them. That looks more to be a piece of foil stamped on the planchet. Yes it could peel off especially near rim where the strike pressure was the least. Interesting nonetheless!

Altho, that doesn't explain the loss of G in GOD...a lam would have had some semblance of detail under it from strike, it has none...why? Struck thru?

Crazyb0- ? Then that makes two of us. One thing is for sure. It's a great example of something, but who know what?

Reminds me of another one of similar size. Thanks, Doug.

Peel it back or not is up to you. I wouldn't force it as it may show undesired signs of tampering, but that's me.

Just saying it could pop unintentionally or on its own. Try and keep pieces together should that happen. Thanks, Doug.

I was being facetious. Peeling it back is "not" going to happen! Thanks for the feedback though.
