hello all I have introduced myself about a month ago but just now getting in the mix. Well, can someone pls advise if this is an error on the word IN GOD WE TRUST. If so, is this rare or common?

From that pic, it looks like a worn coin and common. There may be some PMD involved.

Can you post pics of the entire coin, both sides?

That would certainly help.

Some coins take a lot of beatings. Some are used in vending machines, casinos, run though counting machines and the list goes on. When all this contact it is not unusual to see the devices flattened a bit during its time out there. I feel this is not a doubled die. The devices look enlarge, but I'm not seeing a spread on the motto devices. Here is what to look for on doubling on the moto area:
Mild spread on the vertical devices:

Side by side with a normal coin and a DDO (below image)

Study these. This will help you to see what areas of the die would be affected by hub doubling. (doubled dies) Note on your coin the devices are evenly doubled. Now look back and not how the devices are enlarged/altered is a distorted fashion. See if this helps.

try to post whole pics both sides of the coin and the spot ('s)your asking about,some times they might see something you missed.and coop good job images happy hunting
