Apologies if this is not the correct section to post this. The counterfeit reporting areas are no longer visible to me it appears.

Note: This is cross-posted on three numismatic forums.

501 lots of modern Chinese "flea market" fakes (so-called because you find them at just about every flea market for a couple bucks). Auction house doesn't physically exist. Location claims New York City, but shows as Hong Kong local time. Hmmm...

I've seen these all over ebay, but this is a first sighting for me of a troll auction house like this. Not surprising though. Guessing there will be the usual slew of shill bids as well.

There are quite a few bids already, but who knows if they are real?

The best items are the Trade dollars dated 1791 and 1797!

I don't have those years. Guess I'll have to put a bid on them.

I thought maybe that was to avoid false advertising issues, but calling it a "silver coin" is still false advertising as none of them contain any silver.

Their general "contact us", yes. I don't see a specific channel for reporting.

You want to do some good, report auctionzip to the BBB. The listing will disappear. Unfortunately, this is a double whammy because the bidders are registering on auctionzip and the seller will get the contact info.

Maybe not if the auction is taken down before completion. That's partly why I cross-posted on a few forums :)

I'm not so sure shill bidders L***Y and S***S are going to be worried about the auction house having their info.

I called Auctionzip and chatted also with the BBB. There are two investigations initiated and I would bet a 1791 Trade dollar that it will get shut down. Let's see how long it takes. Both seemed to agree it looked suspicious. I told them these sort of things are harmful to our hobby and certainly would be a negative for Auctionzip. Auctionzip sounded genuinely interested in taking care of things.
I saved my chat in an email sent to myself.

Wouldn't you pay good money just for the chance of throwing those fakes back at the fakers?

I don't believe in wasting money on supporting fakers.

I think we have a moral responsibility not to support the commercial activities of fakers and other criminals.

Really sickening! Are any of you on facebook? I signed up to put my business on there. I'm not active personally, but there's a ton of personal auctions on facebook. In my opinion this is rife for selling fake coins, with no repercussions. I've all but stop buying anything except pennies, nickels, dimes, quarters & halves, I don't think the Chinese are counterfeiting too many of those yet.
