Just realized - this should have been posted in the Modern Coins forum. I can't help but think of Wheat Cents as "classic" coins, since you never see them in circulation.

Very nice. So, I assume you will be cracking it out, or no? Or are you assembling a slabbed type set?

I personally prefer slabbed coins - the raws I have will be sent to NGC as soon as I accumulate enough. All the coins I consider as part of my type collection are in PCGS or NGC holders. It will become even more of a necessity once I get around to the ultra rarities like Chain Cents and the like, though that is still a long way off.
Oh yes, and I should add: when I said it would "fill a hole," I didn't mean that literally! Just realized how that could be confusing.

Quote: Coin+shipping? It was part of a larger purchase, so I don't know how you'd evaluate the shipping. But in any case, it cost less than what it would have cost me to send it to NGC myself.

Very nice example. If you continue to purchase top class NGC, you might want to consider listing your collection in the NGC registry.
Seeing other collections being built in the same category is a fun way to examine your choices.
