I noticed today that sales for the 2016 $1 Coin & Currency Set have ended with a mintage of 50,740 (less than the planned 75,000). Note: To find sales figures, go to this page on the US Mint website: Numismatic Products: Cumulative Sales. As most of you know, the cool thing about these sets was that the Native American dollar was Enhanced Uncirculated. I also like the fact that the coins were made at a different Mint each year (Denver, West Point, San Francisco). I assume that the Mint stopped making these sets last year because sales for the 2016 Coin & Currency Set were sluggish. So mintage figures for three years of the Enhanced Uncirculated Native American dollars--sold as part of the Coin & Currency Set--are: 2014-D | 50,000 2015-W | 84,059 2016-S | 50,740 Mintage for the 2017-S Enhanced Uncirculated N.A. dollar--sold as part of the 225th Anniversary Enhanced Uncirculated Coin Set--is 210,402. The planned mintage was 225,000 although the set is "currently unavailable", which means "We are currently out of this item, but more may be available later."  Edited by dd27

Thanks for sharing the information, I did wonder what the mintage of these were since I have one of each of the sets.
Shame we did not get a set for 2017 and now I doubt we will ever see such a coin and currency set again.

Well there has been a EU NA dollar 2014-17 so It very well could show up again is some kind of set...maybe just not listed yet

The 2015 sets were bolstered by the W mintmark on the dollar, so collectors who wanted one of every mintmark for either that year or even just for the series were forced to buy one, since there are no other West Point issues for the Native American dollar series. |

Thanks for posting this information. It does look like 50k is the right mintage for these sets. Perhaps the mint will learn and produce another set this year.
