Today I finally got to go to the Columbus Coin Show after not being able the last two months! It was similar to what I expected. I mostly just went to see what it was all about but did end up buying a few small things. I also got to see some coins I hadn't seen in person before, only on the forums here. That was pretty cool. I'll probably be a regular attender
There is a small one day coin show in Marietta, GA. I go as often as I can, but skipped the January one because I didn't have any pressing purchase needs. I should be able to go to the February show and hopefully pickup a bullion 2018 ASE. If the spot prices are okay, I might try and sell a little.
Great aren't they? So much better than over the internet where you have to pay for postage, handling, paypal fees, ebay fees, lost in mail, wrong item sent, etc. I love coin shows. We have over 3 a Month around me and some big ones once in a while.

Yes they are! The only thing was that I am mostly interested in world coins right now which meant I was looking through a lot of boxes of 2x2s that weren't necessarily organized that well.
Quote: I haven't been to one yet, but feel a little intimidated just thinking of the idea of attending.
Did I read correctly and you can sell at the shows also.
Yes, you can walk your coins from table to table and get offers. Try to show them to a dealer that has similar stuff in his case as he will likely be more interested. Dealers that don't have your sort of material and are only willing to buy something to flip it to another dealer will not give you the best offers.
There is a lot of selling that goes on at shows. Some bring a couple of items and others bring rolling carry-on bags full of items. So don't be shy, but as Andrew said, if you're going to sell try to find a dealer that has items like you are trying to get rid of.
I saw this on Youtube, can this really be done. Buying from one dealer and selling to another at the same show. Seems a little out there but I guess plausible.
He starts to talk about it around the 1:45 mark.
