Thanks Ham! The way I shoot varies greatly from how most everybody here shoots their coins. I use a pentax K1 on a tripod pointing down on the coin but the biggest difference is that I shot with strobes instead of constant light.

Not to hijack the thread (well okay, a little bit of a hijack ), but that K1 is a VERY good camera. What lens are you using with it? the Pentax smc Pentax-D FA 100mm f/2.8 WR Macro?

If you'd like to start a thread in the photography forum, I'm sure there would be a few folks interested in learning more about your setup.
