Hmm, I don't see any doubling of the inscriptions or design elements. Do you mean the slightly weird edge from about 2 o'clock to 4 o'clock? If not, then we are going to need close-up photos to see what you are looking at.

Not a large enough image.

Oh, and it's a CENT, not a penny.

Kanga - as you know, the U.S. Mint uses the term penny, so I really don't understand why you "correct" everyone who uses the term.

The U.S. Mint sends out rolls of PENNIES as per them.

It has been determined that the word "Pennies" on the side of a mint box of cents is a mint error.

How? It's not like they accidentally printed the word "pennies" on the side of a box. It was intentional, not an error.

What's the difference?

AMEN BROTHER!. It's the gubmint's collusion with Great Britain from the resultant stalemate of the second Revolutionary War! It was agreed we would no longer use their crappy money anymore but we still would subliminally call it the "Penny". Didn't you know that?

Actually, I guess it would be a variety since they did so many of them.

That's what I would figure. And BTW Crazyb0, I love those documents you made on double die errors! I've learned so much from them! Thanks for the contribution!

tobeornot: some advice include a photo of both sides of the coin. Keep working on getting clearer photos. when you do post them on this thread don't start a new one. it will bump to the top.
