I paid too much for this coin however I couldn't pass it up. The eye appeal to me was off the charts and I'm not even a fan of V nickels.

Here is my poor depiction of the coin....better in hand....yes everyone says that.

I'm horrible at grading Liberty nickels, but I'll guess MS-64.

Beautiful tone. Decent strike obverse (some stars a bit light). Strong strike reverse.

Smack under the chin and the weird x on the cheek (is that x on the plastic and not the coin?).

MS-64 just because of that one bad smack.

the X is one mark on the slab (the long mark) and a small mark on the cheek

The hit under the chin puts it at ms64 for me. Without it this coin would be gem.

This coin has a at least 4 issues that I don't care for in a high MS V-Nickel . I'm going with Nick , MS-63 .

that hit on the jaw is in a key area and the scratches on the cheek I think it drops it 1 full grade. MS64
