Hello MaryNoi82 and

The coin you've posted looks like a normal copper 1974-D cent, of which over 4 billion were issued.

Only one aluminium 1974-D cent has ever come to light, and I believe that one was seized by US Government officials when the owner attempted to auction it, as it had been removed without permission from the Mint.

An aluminium cent would be white / silver in color and would be very light in weight.

I doubt very much that is an aluminum cent. Can you provide a weight in grams?

Mary. Your coin appear to be a normal 1974 common cent, worth face value.
