as you can see, there is copper mixed into the (I'm assuming nickel) on the side of the coin, and the back seems to be upside down in relation to the head (not sure if that is normal) but is this coin rare, and if so, what do you guys think would be its estimated worth, thank you

The coin alignment of your quarter is normal - in the United States, the alignment of coins is called coin alignment - the reverse is upside down compared to the obverse. In some other countries, medal alignment is used, where the reverse and obverse have the same alignment.

The copper that is visible on the rim is normal.

Your quarter is completely normal. All quarters and dimes after 1964 will have copper showing on the edge. They are called copper-nickel clad.

Modern quarters have two copper-nickel outer layers and a pure copper inner core.
