Hello All,
Came across this nickel as I was sorting through my collection.
On the reverse - is this doubling of PLURIBUS or MD or DDD ?

it looks to me like mostly die wear. MD would be flat and follow the devices better.

The OPs coin has die wear on the top edges of the devices, and Machine Doubling on the bottoms of these same devices. So the die is starting to break down from usage. Note the area to the right of 'M' on UNUM on the first image. We can start to see die flow there. So it is probably in the LDS (Late-Die-State) when your coin was struck. But the bottoms of EPU are showing classic Machine Doubling.

There is also a bit of coin wrapper damage on the obverse as well.

Yep, you're right as usual coop. I was second guessing myself when you said that. It's die wear and MD.
