This coin has some design elements that seem to be from either another coin or maybe even the previous Standing Liberty design...maybe. One of the things I thought was strange was that Liberty's hair seems to have traces of the 1916 and 1917 design. Or I could be wrong of course.  *** Moved by Staff moved to a more appropriate forum. ***

Not trying to beat a dead topic but I was looking at the length of the ribbon on the coin and it appears to go further into the shield. However, the coin bears an S mintmark. Still hazy for now

Another observation is the heavy chain mail on the forearm. Too uniform for pitting I think. It's a slow Sunday lol!

Yes true it is a type 2. I guess the question I was trying to ask is this. Is there supposed to be chain mail on the arm and does the ribbon length seem odd. I understand the condition doesn't help with a definitive answer.

Type 2 head and if I am correct type 1 dots surrounding shield. Seeing what other oddities this coin brings.
