Most recent pickup in an attempt to complete the Dragon Slayer series all in mint state. All that's left now is the 1850 Penny in MS (elusive).

These are seller's pics, I am hoping that the red showing though on REV is original, or poor lighting in the photo, and is not from being unearthed after removing verdigris.
But until it is in hand it's a coin flip (pun intended) whether or not it's a great pickup or a dud.

Until I can get better pictures, from what I see is MS62, possibly 63.

It looks to me like you've got a nice one there Wade! I don't think you're going to be disappointed when you get it in hand.

Wade

Minimum of MS-60, and probably higher dependent upon better photos.

Dr. Courteau groups this series (varieties 1-75 inclusive) into 5 categories dependent upon the completeness of the Stands of the T and N in TOKEN. Group 1 encompasses varieties 1-26 which are identified by having weak Stands to the T and N in TOKEN. Courteau further divides this grouping into two sub groupings dependent upon the completeness of the Stand of the Leg of the K in BANK (reverse). Varieties 1-15 inclusive have a weak Stand, whereas varieties 16-26 have a full Stand. Your is of the varieties 1-15 grouping.

I will further attribute this when I have more time.

ps. I like the Clash-Marks about the lower section of the Anchor. There appears to be a Die-Crack to the F in HALF.

more later
