That's a post-war nickel.

It could be worth anywhere from five cents to $150 depending upon condition. If it's been circulated and has any dings on it, it loses a lot of value. But a nice unblemished coin without any signs of wear will be worth more.

We really need pics of both sides of the coin to evaluate the value.

Well, technically it is pre- Korean War! 47S is a fairly common coin that can still be found CRHing, maybe you could sucker , er, convince an unwary ebay buyer to pay you $.50 for it, a nice 10x profit!

That Nickel would have to be gem unc. with Full Steps to have a large value . But if it's a common circ. then .25 cents to .40 Cents .

and as has been mentioned unless it's VERY high grade it isn't
worth much, but I would still keep it if I found one in circulation.
