*** Edited by Staff to Add Year / Mintmark / Denomination to Title. Titles are Important! ***I love coin searching and have now been blessed with a large hord of Lincoln cents that have sat untouch'ed in a coffee jar for the last. 40 plus years I've discovered many error coins DDO's and transitional oversights although some like this 1966 got me scratching my head I did post a thread some time ago but had some major family issues so I appoligize for not continuing or answering back but my family comes first even befor coins I know that will be agreed by all my fellow coin enthusiasts well. The photos are not the best but I will have more to come I believe this is a 1966 DDO ? But I noticed a strange anomaly in the date area if anyone can see what see please confirm *** Moved by Staff moved to a more appropriate forum. ***

Very hard to tell. From the full shot, doesn't look like DDO. Can you get a clearer closeup picture? back away from the coin some, might be smaller but should be less blurry

Did someone mention the 1966 DDO FS-101 Lincoln Memorial cent? Yes yes, they did. Now if you have about 30 minutes I will give you a dissertation on just how great this particular variety is. You see I'm Cam, and I have a problem. I want to own all 66 101's known but its impossible. So here I am on a quest for an early die state MS65 RED 1966 FS-101 cent (none known). Ok sorry, I'm done monkying around Sorry your coin is not the FS-101. I have an early, mid, and late die state examples in RED,RB, AU, and XF and in all die states the RU of Trust and the fat separated thickness of 966 on date pop out. In MS the eyelid is clearly doubled and God We Trust also. Your coin is just an attractive well struck example. I can smell the 66 101 from 6 inches away and yours is a normal strike. If you see one at auction or on the bay snap it up as this variety is tough to find in any grade. I have enclosed a picture of a good looking MS RB example for your viewing. Someone on the forum blackmailed me ( just kidding it was a trade up) and took possession of this one. Never found one in the wild but don't give up, their out there. Isn't this coin a peach? Junglebats couldn't resist showing your example, it just photographs so dang well.

Dr.D I have issues, that's about all I can say about loving this one, its a doll. LoneRanger, I even started admiring your 66. Underappreciated, undervalued, underrated and ugly die striking. That's why I love them.
