Think I see a hint still showing. Could be a Struck Through Grease or die polishing issue. FYI, several 1969 and 1970 dies are known for having polished out device details.

Does the reverse also have a floating roof? Over die polishing is often noticed on some of the obverse dies as well. Thanks, Doug.

Yes, I just checked, it does have a floating roof. Does it have any value?

Very little extra value, if any.

Ah, before you put the down payment on your new car...you may want to find out just what this non-error is worth in the real world!

PS: that will be whatever you can con er, get off of an unwitting buyer.

Not sure what you mean, are you saying that it could be worth something or that I should try to sell it to somebody who either wants it or doesn't know about it?

Also, when anybody has a moment, could you help me figure out if this is doubling or not? Btw, it's a 1971.

willza124, best to do new topic when introducing a coin that's not related to current topic. See some Die Deterioration and machine damage on the 1971, but others may see something I missed.

Back to the 1969 D they are too common to have much if any value. Still a fun find for me, but I would not purchase nor try to sell for profit what can still easily be found in the wild.

Like you I'm not sure why or how others comments should be perceived. I frown on trying to get anything off of an unwitting buyer.

Lastly Thanks, Doug.
