An NIFC coin? For Face value?

Sorry, but if you do find it for less than $2 a pop, let me know! Cheapest I know of

The other method is to search $500 half dollar bank boxes

You will find quite a few roll searching. I had to quit somehwere around 2012m but up to that time had at least 6 rolls of the NIFC coins. A collector on here traded me for them. I need to get caught up myself as I have nothing except the proofs from 2012 onward.

Roll searching is probably the only way to get them for face. Most dealers are going to sell them for at least a dollar or more.

Not only will you find NIFC via roll hunting, but the chances are also great for silver and proof coinage.

I don't think NIFC Kennedy halves will ever be worth anything. Mintages might be fairly low but since they are only sold to collectors they are all mostly BU. In my opinion, the series should have ended when they stopped being issued for circulation. Why issue a legal and circulating coin if it's not going to be used for commerce? Sure it makes the mint money but I think it also diminishes the series.

If a coin isn't being used in commerce.....is it really a circulating coin?
