Wow, Mike. Definitely out of your normal 50+ grade range.

66 isn't an easy date.

Love the fairly consistent circulation cameo. I don't love the black at 10:00 on obverse. No marks that would be considered distracting.

Technical grade - 30. Eye Appeal - 5/10.

Tough date. Wish the hair was fuller....probably made 35 but I like it as a 30

Yes I think VF-30 sounds right even with the weak hair detail. Scratch through the first "S" in "STATES"? Tough coin for sure!

NGC xf-40 is the grade. I bet the obverse looks spectacular in hand.

Overgraded in my opinion. Not enough detail for XF. Nice eye appeal and circulation cameo.

25-40 are the toughest grading ranges. But I'm surprised no one nailed the 40 designation. I suspect it's the color contrast on the high points that threw everyone off.
