My wife and I went to the mall yesterday, and while I went to get a watch band put on, she ran into J.C. Penny. When we met up a little later, she told me they gave her a "new old penny" in her change. Since I'm still looking for my first 2018 coin in circulation I asked to see it and this is what she handed me. I can kick myself for not going with her so I could see if the clerk had any more goodies in the till.   Edited by DeputyMax

 That's a pretty special find to get back in change. I haven't gotten a 2018 yet, but that looks better than most 2017s I have received.  But, I may be biased... In Memory of Crazyb0 12-26-1951 to 7-27-2020

Nice find, not many LWC in that condition. My corner market folk have been saving all LWC and saved me about 40 or more and about 2 or 3 every time I go in. 1937s oldest and some newer with AU with luster. Someone must have some saved and needs to spend. got a 40s, 42s and 45p today, must be a kid who lives nearby. Got close to a roll in the last two months. or the owners are trying to keep me coming to buy Keep looking they are getting harder all the time |

Just learned this... but this penny shows ghosting on the reverse... right  Maybe not... wouldn't it effect the elements on the front too? Edited by Eyes4Error
