I know this coin is from Kuwait, but not much else about it. If someone can provide a denomination and year (AH and/or AD), that would be awesome. My uncle brought it back from Afghanistan a few years ago with a bunch of Kuwaiti paper money and AAFES tokens.

The Arabic inscription at the top reads al-Kuwait. In the circle is written 5 fulus. "Fulus" is the plural of fils (singular). The dual dates are 1988 (western) and 1408, the equivalent in the Arabic Hijri calendar which counts from the prophet Muhammad's flight from Mecca in AD 622. If you notice that the math doesn't seem to work (622 + 1408 = 2030!), it's because the Muslim lunar year is about 11 days shorter than the western solar year.
