I found this 1983 P LMC and I do know it is not a trapped gas bubble as it is solid and cannot be flattened it is also affecting the R next to the E. My question is would this be considered a BIE cent or is this from a die chip? My best guess would be a die chip.

@jim0815, you found it so you should name it. The chips are in the wrong location to be a BIE, so you gotta think of something else (but should be equally catchy). Maybe "Filled E"?

Nice find Jim! That's a keeper for sure. Make sure it goes into a 2x2 for protection. You can call it "Libirty".
Edit: Jim, I can see a pre Die Break depression between the "E" and "R" of Liberty, but it didn't break away yet, so isn't a "BIE". It was close though.

I don't see why that wouldn't qualify as a BIE in the LDB5 category. Looks like there is a clear die break along the left side of the R. Similar to one listed a little while ago which also has a spike head.

Might as well give it a try!

I sure will! Not long ago I had a coin added to canadacoins.com. It was a 1979 Canadian cent. And I don't even collect Canadian coins!
