Still learning to work with my camera when I zoom and getting light toned down... Maybe this is a better LIB shot?

What exactly are you asking about, DDO, DDR, RPM? It is None of the above of what I can tell. A bit of MF or Die Deterioration perhaps. No thickness on 2/p or notching/thickness on RTY. What I do see on date & MM is a SE movement of MD

OK... I was thinking I was seeing thickness in the type elements... I was thinking I saw notches on the 9 in the date especially, as well as the mint... and thought liberty seemed to be doubled and have notching on some of the letters...
Guess my eyes are bugging out...

Consulting VV and/or Wexler's (doubleddie.com) for known examples is pretty much a requirement.

Yes, I usually do try to reference and stick with the books... but saw this and saw no DDO's for this either. Trying to point out what I am seeing. (First time ever)... so hear it goes... The LIBERTY seems to be extra thick and something is going on with it... (beyond the leg-less "R"...lol)? Also was just noticing how squatty the "Y" is next to the other letters (if that means anything?) I am probably wrong... sometimes I think I see too much detail, and that combined with not really knowing yet what to look for gets me confused. Anyways, I am learning a lot here as I am starting to learn the process of how it's made... but still so NEW at this!!

It's hard to tell from your pics what you are actually pointing at. I'm guessing split serifson the corners maybe? If your using your phone camera try putting on the macro setting ( the flower icon usually) and if you can change your shutter settings so it closes a little faster and take the pic under a bright as close as you can before it starts to lose focus it should give you pretty good results. Your phones gotta be at least 10 megapixels or more and make sure you have on best pic quality. I get great crisp detailed pics using this method. You can even get a decent clip on macro lens for your phone from Walmart for like $6.

Yes... I am new to all this. Plus learning to get my lighting right! I just got a digital micro... but still getting used to it. May need a better one instead, things seem too pixelated and grainy, making me want to go back to my good old microscope... but it didn't take pics :( BTW yes I was trying to point out serifs... but first time I ever tried. One month in to collecting and 3 days into using a forum... Possibly need sleep and just seeing things at this point!

Also keep in mind how lighting and especially reflections can affect how you see the coin and what others see in pics. Sometimes, if the lighting is just so, I see coins with incuse devices when, in fact, they are raised as they should be. It is all about the lighting.

Well, I decided I needed to get better at explaining what it is I think I am looking at... So, most IMPORTANTLY I can at least get feedback on how I am thinking wrong. Hopefully I will have another moment! Anyways, I took a stab at trying to "call out" what I think I am looking at (at least on the date and mint). You know I am really just trying to humor you all!

OK... so only my second attempt trying to call whatI was seeing out.
Sorry if I failed!
I have come across MD a lot, some extreme and others not... but I did notice the flat shelf like appearance. This did not to me... which is why I am trying to understand.

Looks for distortion on the devices. This is a Denver mint coin. Wexler does not list a DDO's from there on the LP2 obverses. 2 on the LP1 - 'D' (Earlobe WDDO-001 and cheek WDDO-002) None on the LP3 or LP4 from Denver. Denver has a lot less doubled dies than the Philly mint. I gave up look for them there years ago. Variety Vista a lot less listed on the obverses for that series. http://varietyvista.com/01d%20LC%20...%20Cents.htm
