1818 Coronet Large Cent Found In Change!

I started getting into collecting coins when I was in kindergarten. Anyways I had asked my babysitter if she had any change bowls that I could go through and she did, I ended up finding this, there was probably more that I missed (I was 5...) but this stuck out like a sore thumb.

It is counter stamped twice, it is holed, and it is beat to heck... I guess that is expected after being in circulation for 187 years. (this year is the coins 200th birthday!)

Let me know what you think! And of you know anything about the counterstamps let me know.

The counterstamps are "J. CONANT" and "B".

@LC, yes wow very nice find, despite the hole, graffiti (that letter B on the rev looks like it was done with a knife), and rim damage. I recommend that you cross post this coin to our evergreen thread on counterstamps here:

That will give your "J. CONANT" counterstamp good visibility and perhaps you can find about more about Mr./Mrs. Conant.
