I got a lot of 24 clipped wheat cents recently. I got them for $23.50 with shipping, I thought that was a good deal. The pics were grainy but they had them in a coin book so you could see the year. There are a few double clips and the coins are not cleaned. I'm going to check them for doubled dies later. This one caught my eye first thing. Look at the labeling!

Very nice pickup! That's pretty cool that you have a Clipped Planchet on a 1909 P LWC.

Thanks e&v. Ive just looked at a couple of them and I think they just wanted them gone. There's 1917-21Ps in there and a 20D with a strike through as well! I think I scored. I'll post some more later. I've got some yard work to do.

Also, one of them is a very dirty 1943. Do I clean it in acetone?

Good eyes. Acetone won't hurt.

It will make it look like it was cleaned. It's already been through that already a few times. I'd leave it alone.I would like to see the edge of the coin on that area. The rim looks correct, the Blakesley looks like it is there. The obverse clipped area looks a bit funny to me.

Pics of the side of the clip would be helpful.
