what do you think is weird about them? FYI it is always better to orient your pictures correctly so that we all don't get stiff necks looking at them.
Rest in Peace

Overpressure struck with a slightly tilted die(12 o'clock obverse), Die Deterioration around rim @ IGWT, plus zinc zits and discoloration.

Mid 80's known for this effects, overworked and overused dies added to antiquated presses, spelled poor quality of coins for this period. Plus it was production overruns in a "booming " economy, an overabundance was minted to supply anticipated but unwarranted needs!

The rough texture is from some zinc dust that didn't get rinsed off the planchet before it was plated. Just a common coin. Spendable. But knowing why.... priceless.....

"Zinc Rot" is something you'll come across regularly if you collect the later Lincolns.
