I'm contemplating adding this to my 7070 and would like your opinion before I jump on it. The pictures are sellers pics. The drapery is not as strong as I would like it to be but I like the hair details. Its in a blue ANACS slab AU53. Seller asking $315, I'm hoping to use the ebay 10% discount code so it would come to $283.

Very nice looking seated half, although $315 is about 15% over Greysheet ask.

Shatsi,

Sorry I can't comment on the coin itself (I'm at work and the network strips all pic sharing photos). I would recommend you peruse Dick Osburn's web site, too http://dickosburn.com/Inventory.cfm

His descriptions are spot on and if you're just looking for a nice example of a Seated Half for your 7070, you may find it here. He doesn't post pictures, but the descriptions are very accurate.

I think it's a great looking coin at a reasonable retail price.

SeatedNut, I've heard good things about Dick Osburn, I recently ordered a Seated half dime from him and waiting for it to be delivered. That's my first order with him. If it works out I'll definitely be ordering more. All this time I've didn't since he didn't have pics.

This seller have 4 pics, 2 of them has a yellowish color as shown below. I've emailed him asking which one represent the actual coin and waiting for his response. If its yellowish I'll walk away. I've bought from him before and feel comfortable dealing with him.

Solid for the grade, and a few bucks high at the asking price. I wouldn't hesitate to snag it if the discount could be had.

As already noted a very nice coin. However, a bit on the high side for a price. Now don't forget if there is Postage, insurances, etc you have to actually add that to the price of the coin. So now just how much is the total?

Seller emailed me back saying its a golden grey color and If I don't like it for any reason I can return and he'll refund my shipping cost to send it back. So I bought it. And the coupon worked without any problems. I will post my own pics once I receive it.

Thanks everyone!

I'm trying to decide whether I want to keep it or return. No luster left and a bit dark for my taste. The whitish marks around the left arm is on the holder.

Would like to hear your opinion as well.

I like it. I know that the appearance of any coin is completely subjective to the viewer, and I happen to like the looks of some coins that are dark and lacking some luster. I think it makes the details of the strike more readily visible.

That's just one dude's opinion, though. :-)
But I think it's a nice purchase!
