But not the devices shape. They are not crisp in shape. The are lumpy looking. So it is not a doubled die, but it is Die Deterioration. The die should have been retired long ago, but it what left in action for a little bit more.Recently someone post another example of an obverse that look promising, but turned out to be the same issue: Note how shaped the Die Deterioration is. But is not a doubled die. It just flows in the direction of the rim. (Had me fooled the first time I saw it) But on the 50 State series, there is only one nice doubled die. All the rest of the hub doubling is only on the earlobes through the series. So look at the earlobe and move onto the reverse. (Check John Wexler's site for what to look for on these. Save a lot of time not looking at something else on the obverses. Look at his site for what areas to look for DDRs. They are probably not where you would look. Just in the centrals usually.
