I received these two notes today from the cashier. Not sure if they are worth anything but I think they are cool. There are no folds, tears, stains, dirt etc. I simply want to make them flat again; if that makes any sense.

I want to this for my own display purposes.

I've searched this forum but everything I find is related to cleaning notes, which I am not seeking to do.

Any suggestions would be great.

lay them flat between the middle pages of a heavy book, an encyclopedia or similar book.

Well, they are consecutive star notes. So I would imagine they are worth keeping and have a little premium at least over face.

Since they're already bent in both directions, you can start the process by gently bending those folds in reverse - slightly at first, and then carefully a bit more each time. This should take much of the distortion out - perhaps even enough to put them directly into stiff currency holders.

I would not use any book that may have used chlorine chemistry to make the paper whiter.
Bigger threat than PVC is for coins.

Agree. If you don't like the appearance after putting them in stiff sleeves, then just leave them in the sleeves when placing them in heavy books.

In addition to this, make sure that notes are between 2 plain pieces of neutral paper, positioned away from the spine of the book and leave them compressed for many months. I put a very heavy coin book on top to add to the compression.

They will most likely never be completely flat again, but will look better than they do at present.

When you check them, if they are still not noticeably flatter, repeat the process.

I have a book just for paper money
I save all star notes and fancy numbers
the pages I have hold 4 per page.
Just put them in them book and wait.
This works for me,

When I was a kid, my grandpa would visit and always give me a dollar bill and they were consistently perfect. One day I asked him, "Grandpa, where do you get all the new money?" He chuckled and said, "It's not new boy, I just keep it in my shoe and it makes them lay flat"

So today, after reading this thread, I decided to give it a try. First, I found a note that was fairly crumpled up.
Then, I soaked my bare feet in a diluted white vinegar solution, because everyone knows vinegar has a million uses. After that, I put on a pair of white cotton socks and placed the dollar bill inside the shoe, at the bottom. You have to use a flat shoe without a raised heel and no arch support. My Converse All Stars were perfect. Next I went on a two mile walk being careful not to step on any rocks or uneven surfaces. When I got home and took off my shoes, it was almost perfect. Unfortunately, now it kinda smells funny.
