Second, while better pics would help a little bit, when I blow up the picture of the reverse, I can see a series of parallel scratches as if this nickel spent some time on a belt sander. I suspect that the front of this coin has also been sanded. Your coin was damaged and is only worth face value.

Thank you fuzzy! I'm sorry, I was completely exhausted when I posted this. Thank you Spence for your reply as well! I thought it looked like it was sanded down but hey I'm definitely not an expert so I figured I would show you guys.
